On the inside front epp.Vol I. has some marginal notes on a number of pages and some underlining all very neatly done in pencil and ink.The blue silk like boards show some bumping of the corners and mild foxing at the top and bottom of the spine.The gilt titles on the spine are bright,there is a smsll nick about 1" down from the top of the spine(less than an 1/8 ) at the front of Vol II.)The inside of the epp's show modest spotting. Binding on both volumes is firm in all respects.Volume II.Is similar in most aspects except that this volume has seen much less use such that many pages have been unopened.There are no nicks dents nor is there any spotting of the epps and there is a fine gilt shield bearing the motif Quaerere Verum on both front and rear covers..
