Original beige cloth binding with brown leather corners. Printed decorations on front and back covers. 1890-1895. 8 1/2" x 12 3/4." 125 pages, complete. Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Pages are slightly chipped at the edges. Covers have slight marking and staining on the front and back. Covers have some wear, mostly limited to the corners and spine. Leather spine is missing (originally 3/4 leather binding). James M. Luark (1847-1930) was from a pioneer Washington Territory family. He and his wife farmed at least for a while near Goldendale, Klickitat County, Washington, before moving to Oregon about 1890. By the early 1900s, they were living in Watsonville, California. This account book shows the Luarks' ranch and household income and expenses. There are also present unbound pages from an earlier account book (1880s).. Manuscript. Book Condition: Very Good.
