Circa 1915. Collection of postcard-like colored printed photographic images in cardboard folder, meant to be mailed like a postcard. Rubbing and bumped corners on folder, tear on fold. Images inside are in excellent condition. On the front of envelope is an image of the "View from Observation Car on the Coast Line", on the back is "Breaking Surf, Point Conception, Near Santa Barbara, California". Inside are eighteen 5 x 3 images of notable sights in the Los Angeles area and along the Southern Pacific Coast Route. The Southern Pacific first opened its Coast Line in 1900. It ran from Burbank in Southern California, west along the Santa Clara River Valley, then north roughly along the coast to the San Francisco Bay Area. The route is still in use by Amtrak passenger trains and Union Pacific freight trains.. Book. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
